NORWALK - If you see flowers floating in the surf at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, they just may be for Maclovio "Joe" Lopez Jr.

That's one of the ways his daughter, Dannette, remembers the construction foreman, who died Sept. 11, 2001, when United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center in the terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.
