Re "Communities along 710 push for a greener path": Unfortunately, Bixby Knolls residents can't partake in the community livability plan. Access to the Dominquez Gap Wetlands Project and the Los Angeles River Trail has been blocked to them by a welded iron gate at Del Mar Avenue and North Virginia Vista. What for years has been an open thoroughfare for bicyclists, horseback riders and people from the neighborhood walking their dogs has recently been closed by county authorities. The Dominguez Gap Wetlands Project that has unfolded for months and which cost millions of taxpayer dollars is now accessible only via Wardlow Road from the south or Del Amo Boulevard from the north.
