LONG BEACH - The owners of a 12-unit Alamitos Beach apartment building that gained infamy one year ago for housing 15 registered sex offenders at once are now the target of a city lawsuit.

The lawsuit by the City Attorney's Office, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Dec. 24, alleges that the owners have been running an illegal hotel out of the apartment building and have allowed the tenants to "terrorize" the neighborhood.
