Teen Found Guilty in L.B. Shooting

LONG BEACH - An 18-year-old Long Beach man was found guilty Monday of attempted murder for shooting and wounding another teen in an attack in North Long Beach earlier this year.

Martin Peoples was also found guilty of at least two other counts - including firing a gun in public - for the shooting, which occurred just steps from Starr King Elementary school and a Pentecostal private school, both teeming with young children at the time, said Nancy Pratt, a Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman.
