Summary


I learned my love of teaching when I was a student at Bryant Elementary School. I later learned to love history at nearby Jefferson Junior High, and I came to appreciate the value of determination on the football field at Wilson High.

What I remember most about my best teachers has nothing to do with state test scores. They loved their jobs. Their dedication was obvious, their enthusiasm contagious. They were deeply committed to helping kids achieve the American Dream. That's what sticks in my memory, and it's why I'm an educator today.
