LONG BEACH - A 44-year-old man allegedly shot and wounded a 19- year-old female family member before turning the gun on himself Saturday in a neighborhood near Cal State Long Beach, authorities said.
Police were called to a home in the 6800 block of E. 10th Street at 3:47 a.m. regarding a woman who had been shot by a family member, said Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Massacani. Officers were able to rescue the 19-year-old woman, who was transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body, she said.See the full content of this document
