LONG BEACH Both weapons found on a 37-year-old felon who was shot and killed by police following a high-speed pursuit turned out to be pellet guns, officials said Friday.

Angel Michael Galvan of Long Beach, a convicted felon suspected of sexually assaulting a woman and stealing a car before Wednesday's bloody confrontation, pulled out a handgun and pointed at officers before they unleashed more than 30 rounds, police said.
