Some 110 guests had a fun and busy evening Sept.12 at the St. Mary Medical Center Guild's eighth annual "Night at the Races." Los Alamitos Race Course dedicated the sixth race to the St. Mary Guild, "which was a real tribute to us," said past president Carol Marshall (with David).
Master of Ceremonies Tom Henkenius kept the action lively as everyone buzzed around the room, going from the balloon pop to the silent auction to the betting window or to the buffet dinner of tri- tip, chicken, salad, roasted vegetables and irresistible fruit cobbler dessert. There was something going on all evening! Decorated papier-mache horse centerpieces, produced by Martha McNaughton (Bob) and Duane Rose, placed on sage-colored tablecloths and napkins, created a festive atmosphere.See the full content of this document
