PASADENA Security will be at its usual peak at Wednesday's National Championship Rose Bowl football game, but this year the Pasadena police will be taking a much closer look at stadium spectators.
This summer, the city finished installing a new 24-camera surveillance system that's operated from a command post above the Rose Bowl press boxes. Pasadena Police Officer Mark Oberon demonstrated a few of the system's capabilities Thursday.
