He has the Right to Remain Relaxed in Catalina Court

But not like this.

It was May 2007, and he'd taken a helicopter from Long Beach to Catalina Island for the lobster-poaching trial of a fisherman named John Cadman.

Because of the island's small population - about 3,500 people - the jury pool was full of residents who personally knew Cadman or his family. And, out of necessity, many of them were seated as jurors.
