LONG BEACH - A day of drills and simulations on Thursday turned into the real thing for two Long Beach Police Department helicopter pilots flying home.
LBPD pilots Brian Armstrong and Robert "Charles" Nevel were flying back to Long Beach after training with the police department's SWAT team in San Bernardino when they heard a lot of chatter about a downed plane, said Armstrong.See the full content of this document
