Summary
Kudos to the Long Beach Police Department and the lead officer in the car theft pursuit on Wednesday. The video of the pursuit termination is a textbook example of leadership, containment, calm in an exigent situation, and split second, exacting, decision making. Without the officers' expertise, the suspect could have barricaded himself and several innocent hostages could have been killed.
