LA MIRADA - Phantom Projects, a non-profit theater group that for the past decade has produced youth-targeted plays with messages about the dangers of drugs, underage sex and racial intolerance, is finally getting its due.

After periods of financial struggles and years of having to operate at a small storage facility of no more than 100 square feet, the theater company is moving into a 5,000-square-foot warehouse, has recently received a $18,000 boost in its annual grant from the city, and is making plans for a national tour, officials said.
