The Long Beach City Council should work to avoid a lawsuit tonight by allowing Mayor Bob Foster's veto of the "Labor Peace Agreement" to stand. Council members were elected as trusted stewards of public money - not union organizers - and should do everything they can to avert, rather than invite, legal action.
