LONG BEACH - A registered nurses' union threatening to strike over what they said were lax safety regulations for the H1N1 virus has reached a settlement with Catholic Healthcare West, representatives said Monday.
The agreement, which was reached late Friday between the California Nurses Association and the San Francisco-based hospital chain, now requires that the hospitals adopt state safety regulations for protecting health care workers from the H1N1, the swine flu virus, said CNA spokesman Shum Preston.See the full content of this document
