What part of "no' doesn't the Press-Telegram understand? Your Dec. 4 editorial regarding the minimal public response to the recent public hearings on the LNG environmental impact report by the federal government displays a serious misunderstanding of Long Beach residents.

For months, my fellow Long Beach citizens and I have attended City Council meetings and spoken to the inherent dangers of placing an LNG facility in the harbor. We have written letters to the editor, collected hundreds of signatures on petitions, spoken to groups of our neighbors, contacted our state and federal representatives, and given interviews to reporters from all over the United States. We have said "no' to LNG over and over again. How many times must we say "no?'
