Katherine Legge's internal clock is not running smoothly. There are moments when it feels like time is standing irritatingly still as she awaits her first race behind the wheel of a Champ Car at the April 9 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, and others when things are moving at mach speed and she wishes she could find the brakes.

"It feels really quick and then it feels like it's taking ages," the native of North Hampton, England, said after her first test run for the Grand Prix Wednesday in Fontana. "I just want to get it done."
