Grants Help Calm Children's Fears

LOS ANGELES Grants given to Miller Children's Hospital and other hospitals and schools will help children address their fears following traumatic events such as natural disasters or terrorist attacks, public health officials said Friday.

Los Angeles Unified School District will receive $599,000 a year for the next four years as part of a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
