LONG BEACH -- Joshua Stoner has trouble competing in most sports because of his disability.

But once he hits the water, the 12-year-old with Down syndrome swims like a fish. On Sunday, he walked away with third-, fourth- and sixth-place medals in the backstroke, 25-yard freestyle and 50- yard freestyle, respectively.
