In an upset that reminded some of the movie "Hoosiers," Poly High's girls basketball team was denied a fifth consecutive CIF State Division I title in a stunning loss to Oak Ridge of El Dorado Hills. The loss was Poly's first in the state playoffs since 2005.
Long Beach native and former Poly High student Vania King claimed not one but two Grand Slam doubles titles, the first two of her career.
